Oh boy did this ever need to happen.
It's a story.
Cooper became attached to Bob at 2 months old. 2 months! He could grab Bobs arm with his tiny little fists and snuggle him to sleep. Spit-up was always all over Bob, as Coop grew, slobber covered Bob, he would bite, suck, and spit-up some more on the poor frog. Poor Bob. he gets washed a lot. It doesn't look like it, but he does. He goes everywhere with us. A few weeks ago he even traveled to Hawaii! Actually 1.0 and 2.0 both!
When I decided it was time for a replacement we checked Christiansen's they were out and no longer carried Bob. Uh oh. Bob has been loved on so much, his tags are no longer legible!
We were in trouble!
After I had almost given up hope I searched the greyed threadbare tags again and saw a number sequence. So, I googled it. It gave me a description of some other toy but had a company name, JellyCat. So I googled that. Ta Da! I found the "pudding frog"! I almost cried. Seriously. Tears of joy almost ran down my cheeks.
Then
Bob has been discontinued. I almost cried tears of sadness! How could we come this far and then THIS?!
But I had Bobs company name, and product name...so I googled it. As luck would have it there was a little boutique in Portland, Oregon who happened to have 1 little JellyCat Pudding Frog!
There was a month long process of shipping woes but he finally arrived!
Cooper still prefers Bob 1.0 but he will gladly accept 2.0 when 1.0 is lost for the moment or in the washing machine!
We sure love you Bob!
