Something miraculous happened just now...there I was, busting out a 5K on the treadmill in my parents garage. (it's too cold to walk with the kids outside these days) At mile 2.7 I started running for no reason, you read right, RUNNING. I was baffled but kept it up and finished the last .5 of the 5K RUNNING and under an hour to boot.
BUT that's not all. I felt good, then I felt determined, "if I ran .5 a mile just fine, might as well shoot for 1 mile...right?" So... I did!
Wow. I ran for a mile? I didn't even do that during my triathlons.
Then I cooled it down and rounded my workout off to a lovely 4 mile journey.
I'm amazed.
A. That I finished my, mostly walked, 5K under and hour
B. That I ran, and liked it
C. That my little crazies entertained themselves, drama free, for an hour and 6 minutes
It's a good day guys. And it's Brady's birthday! Happy birthday Beards! Which means mine is in 8 days :) I'm already salivating, thinking about what dessert I'm going to choose...ah...birthday dessert.

YAY!!! I can't wait to get back to that point! I went walking/running last night and 10 minutes felt like a BIG deal :) Way to go on the mile! Your an inspiration! And...how nice that your kids will entertain themselves...that will also be my goal ;)
