Help!

OK ladies I need some advice!

I feel as though I do everything the hard way. Especially when it comes to cleaning my house. Which is probably the reason why cleaning days are so seldom around here. I know how long and how much energy it is going to take.

So please help me out! What are your tricks of the trade? Favorite products? Gadgets? Cleaning routine? (I think this is half my problem, I don't have a routine at ALL)

My top struggles are:

My linoleum. I hate it. It never looks clean. Can't wait to get rid of it (someday)

My baseboards. It's like the dust refuses to come off! (those will also someday be replaced when I get knew flooring...someday)

Please don't tell me I'm the only one who is constantly in a cleaning funk.

Ok! So I am OCD bad! I LOVE Kaboom for anything that has to do with hard water buildup!! I LOVE it for showers and sinks anything shiny! Spray NO scrub then rinse and enjoy my friend!

Magic Erasers!! Made by Mr. Clean. I have no clue whats in those sucker but they work!!

Baseboards: super hot water or any one of those other products with that.

Hope that helps!

story of my life! my house is tidy...but please don't look closely! my nemesis - streaks and fingerprints on my stainless appliances...how do you get rid of those? oh and my shower...hard water spots! I'm not much help.

but that said, my favorite trick is sweeping my baseboards and then vacuuming or in my bathroom mopping afterwards. done regularly it keeps from having to ever scrub them.

I am totally with you! Something that probably sounds crazy, but I worked for like 2 weeks to help Hunter learn that he needs to help with stuff. Now (he's 3) he helps me dust and stuff (the base boards would be a good job for him). He has a little job chart that he gets to move his spaces (like a game) when he does stuff and then when he reaches the end he gets to put a dime in his piggy bank.
As for the linoleum...my mom always told me to clean it with vinegar (it doesn't make streaks and its supposed to cleans it better then your standard pine cleaners ?)
Good Luck!

What I have found works good(if I stick to it)for me is I made a list of the things that need to be done on a weekly basis and then split them up with the days of the week, that way its not a big chore that takes all morning instead it take about a half hour to an hour a night(its easier after the monster is in bed!) As for the baseboards I agree with Ash just brush them off when sweeping and when vacuuming i just use the attach ments to run along them....Now if I could only practice what preach...

This has already been said but...magic erasers are amazing on linoleum! In one of my old apartments the linoleum was disgusting so I scrubbed the whole floor with a magic eraser and it looked like new! They also work great on baseboards but after you've scrubbed them try to just keep them dusted and then you won't have to scrub them. I like to go along mine with my dustbuster, if you don't have a dustbuster then get one, they're also amazing! Another thing I do to save money is buy gallons of straight ammonia at wal-mart (it's super cheap!), they also have empty spray bottles you can buy and I put about a half cup of ammonia and fill the rest up with water and then I use that in my kitchen, bathrooms, etc.
